Martín Moska Lorenzo, a key member of the band, expressed the significance of this milestone. «'Mi Vida Loca' was created in 1995, and after 30 years, it feels like the perfect moment to celebrate it. We are going to perform every song from this album, a record that is not only representative but also deeply cherished by everyone. It holds a special place for us due to its timeless tracks, with at least five songs remaining staples in our current shows,» he stated. The band is currently sharing their memories of how «Mi Vida Loca» became a hit, even surpassing Luis Miguel on the charts back in the 90s, according to Lorenzo.
Revitalizing the Classics for a New Generation
The band isn't content with merely replicating the past. They are actively working on revitalizing the songs, breathing new life into them for both long-time fans and a younger audience. Jorge “Perro Viejo” Serrano explained, «The idea is to inject a new energy with arrangements that captivate and revitalize the music. We've improved as musicians, and while respecting the original versions, we'll be adding our own twist, tweaking arrangements and musical elements to create a fresh experience.» Los Auténticos Decadentes are currently focusing on refreshing the classics for a new generation while paying homage to the original essence of the music.

Recalling the album's original launch in 1995, Gastón Francés Bernardou gifted guests with bottles of white and red wine adorned with heart-shaped labels. Martín Lorenzo explained, «We've been wanting to do this for two years. The wine, a Cabernet Franc aged in oak barrels for two years, will serve as a memento of this special moment, a delightful keepsake or simply something to enjoy.» The band is currently planning a special wine launch to celebrate this milestone.
Dreaming Big: A Zócalo Concert on the Horizon?
Looking ahead, the band expressed their desire to perform a free concert at the Zócalo in Mexico City, a venue they have yet to conquer. «We'd love to play at the Zócalo, which is a public space under the city government's jurisdiction,» Moska shared. «Hopefully, someone there appreciates Decadentes and will advocate for us. Perhaps next year, as we celebrate our 40th anniversary, it would be wonderful, especially because it's a free and iconic location where artists like Paul McCartney and Café Tacuba have performed.»
